Artist Spotlight: Adult Gifts
From Santa Monica, CA, Adult Gifts are all professionals in various spaces of the entertainment Industry: Film, Games, Music. All have worked on high profile, high stakes, projects. Frequently working towards someone else’s artistic vision, they formed Adult Gifts as their outlet for personal expression. After the grind, dominates the studio, and wash the night in 80s vibes.
The group was founded by Kevin Callirgos and David Rodgers. While initially cold to each other, they formed a lasting friendship at a late-night karaoke, held at the infamous Rockin’ Pies Pizza. Having shared interests in artistic expression and similar experiences in high stress jobs, forming an 80’s band was the obvious move. Sam Robertson later joined the group, appreciating the sound and hustle, and having previously worked with Kevin on a D&D inspired Rock Opera. The trio are supported by a rotation of creative friends, filling out tracks with their own creative input, and a dedication to the post ironic sound of Adult Gifts.
