Artist Spotlight: Eric S Johnson

That's What Lovers Do, they bring flowers, they feel excited to meet each other, they feel happy, they get together because That's What Lover's Do. This song came about when meeting an incredibly attractive woman in the Pacific Northwest (I live in the East). I was so excited to meet her in person, I got her flowers for our first date. She turned out to be more interesting than I thought she'd be. The lyrics were modified to have a more rhythmic sound to it, "looking forward to seeing you soon, looking for a coffee at noon". We had coffee much later than that but the noon rhymed better with the "soon".

The woman was fantastic! Incredible beauty, science based as I am, brilliant, a great caring loving person painted her as that woman I had to be with. That's why I felt a great sense of excitement about meeting her for the first time.

The picture has nothing to do with the lyrics but there are two people in that same outrigger canoe, doing what lovers do.
