Artist Spotlight: Evolving Wings
Evolving Wings is a poet, rapper, and songwriter from San Francisco who channels the strength of his Chicano and indigenous Mexican heritage into every track. Through bilingual lyrics and a powerful social conscience, he brings raw energy and storytelling to issues of injustice, cultural identity, and resilience.
His 2021 debut EP, “Walking Stars” (produced by C-Lance), introduced a unique blend of hip-hop and ancestral sounds. In 2023, he followed up with “Soul Purpose,” a full-length LP produced entirely by The Kid Rated R, deepening his commitment to sharing the voices and struggles of his community. Now, with the 2025 single “Year of the Snake,” Evolving Wings further expands his sound, inviting listeners into a new chapter of growth and truth.
