Artist Spotlight: Quiana Major

Quiana Major is a Miami-based alternative pop-rock and R&B artist celebrated for fusing southern rock, soul and story-driven songwriting. She’s opened for Grammy-winner Rhiannon Giddens at the North Beach Bandshell, released the live album Live at the Miami Beach Bandshell, and had her song “River” featured (with full interview) on WLRN Folk Music Radio.

In 2012, Major and her sister Symone co-founded Context of a Generation a nonprofit supporting underserved Black and millennial musicians in Miami. As vice president, she helped launch online showcases The Indie Seat and Mango Sessions, spotlighting over 100 artists and boosting national exposure for acts like Latin Grammy winner Ale Mor and Mustard Service.
