New Release: Eric S Johnson - Oh Sax

Oh Sax comes from a dual inspiration, my love of the saxophone and some sweet young lady who plays it. I always loved the sax renditions with Al Stewart (Song On The Radio, Year Of The Cat, etc), Rod Stewart (Tonight's The Night, Do You Think I'm Sexy, etc), Classics IV (Spooky, Everyday With You Girl) and other sax portions in the songs.
The young lady was one of the most interesting women I've met, picks up things quickly, very friendly and probably very pretty too (Covid times and everyone wore masks). We had a friendly relationship across the counter of a Starbucks. She also was finishing up her college and about to pursue a Master's Degree soon afterward. The feeling I had of her was something very alluring. She was the impetus to write the song "Oh Sax". Oh Sax is about my dual love of the sound of the Sax and the love I had for her. Such a beautiful and very interesting person. Too bad, she wasn't able to hear my "serenade" to her and her favored instrument.
